NYP: Witness Appeal re Whitby Woman Assault

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and any information after a woman in her forties was assaulted on Windsor Terrace, Whitby on the evening of Friday 7 April 2017.

Between 11.30pm and midnight, the victim was walking home from an evening socialising with a friend when she was deliberately pushed into the road by an unknown offender.

The victim has suffered a nasty head wound as a result, and was forced to seek hospital treatment.

The offender did not attempt to take any personal property and the attack is completely unprovoked.

Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident or has any other information that could assist the investigation, to contact them.
