NYP: Appeal re Scarborough Wallet Theft

Scarborough police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man they would like to speak to following the theft of a wallet and Nectar points.

It happened in Scarborough on Friday 14 April 2017 when the victim returned home to find that his wallet was missing. On later checking his Nectar card balance, he found that all of his points totalling £500 had been used at the Sainsbury’s store on Falsgrave Road.

Officers have issued a CCTV image of the man they would like to speak to. He is described as white, approximately 6” tall of slim build with short black hair. At the time he was wearing a dark coloured hooded top that was pulled up over his head, thick black framed glasses, dark coloured tracksuit bottoms with white writing down the leg and black Nike trainers.

PC Liam Cromack from Scarborough police said: “The victim and his family had been saving these points for a long period of time and to find out that the entire balance has now been lost has caused some upset. I would urge anybody with information to contact me in an effort to locate those responsible.”
