Appeal re Whitby vehicle criminal damage 

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about criminal damage to a vehicle that occurred in Whitby.

It happened at a car park at the rear of Kirby Flats, East Terrace, Whitby, between midnight and 7:00 am on Friday 2 August 2019, and again on Sunday 4th August, when a red Mercedes C220 estate was damaged on two separate occasions. The vehicle has deep scratching to the paint work, a tyre has been punctured and the vehicle has been defaced with spray paint.

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information about any person who may have been seen acting suspiciously in the car park between the times mentioned above.
