Appeal re Scarborough Assault

Officers are appealing for witnesses and information about an assault that occurred in Scarborough.

It happened at West Square between 4pm and 5pm on Tuesday 15 October 2019.

The victim, a 19-year-old woman, was punched in the face and pushed into the nearby pond by a man.

A 28-year-old man was arrested and has been released under investigation, pending further enquiries.

We are asking for the public’s help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
