ERYC – Parking Tickets Refund

It looks like East Riding of Yorkshire Council (ERYC) are going to have to refund thousands of parking ticket fines as there was a “procedural impropriety” on the “Notice To Owners” (NtO) sent out to motorists.

The text below appears at the bottom of five of the six papers contained in the NtO:

Regardless of the consequences, all motorists can ignore the NtO.

They do not have to appeal or pay the charge.

As the text is a procedural impropriety ERYC must:

1. Refund all motorists who received a NtO with the text on and
2. Remove the text from all future NtO
