NYP: Appeal re Scarborough Assault

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an assault that occurred in Scarborough town centre.

It happened on Huntriss Row at 1810 hours Saturday 6 May 2017 where a man and a woman were pursued by an aggressive male down Huntriss Row. The couple were assaulted in the car park outside the Palm Court Hotel. The male was spat on repeatedly and the female also assaulted.

We are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing to the member of the public who checked on the couple’s welfare once the known offender had fled to make contact with police.
