North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a shop theft and subsequent assault that occurred in Whitby.
The theft happened at J’Adore at around 3.15pm on Saturday 16 December 2017, and was followed by an assault on Sandgate shortly afterwards.
It involved a man who stole two items from J’Adore and was pursued by the store manager on to Sandgate where the suspect assaulted the store manager before returning the stolen items.
We are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident and identify the suspect.
He is described as white, aged in his late 40s, around 5’11” in height with short dark messy hair. He was wearing dark converse style trainers, dark jeans and a dark leather look jacket.
