Subject: RE: Information Request, our ref: 2016/08

Dear [redacted],

Please accept my apologies for not having attached the minutes of 17 March with my previous email; please find these attached now. Please note that  some personal details have been redacted from the minutes (names and/or initials of individuals). We are withholding this information under section 40 (2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 which exempts personal information from disclosure if disclosure would breach one or more principles of the Data Protection Act 1998. In this case we consider that disclosure would breach the first principle, namely that personal information must be fairly and lawfully processed and must meet one of the conditions for processing as provided by schedule 2 of the Act. In this case we consider that the disclosure would be unfair and unlawful and none of the conditions for processing would be met.

These minutes will be made available on the College website, in due course, in the redacted form presented to you (this is likely to be on 11 April due to staff being on holiday at this time).

We are unable to release the minutes of 24 March at this time as they have not yet been approved.

Kind regards,

Jackie Hunter (Mrs)

Clerk to the Governing Body
