UKIP Backs ANTI-CORRUPTION and ABUSE-OF-POWER CAMPAIGN
The North Yorks Enquirer welcomes this opportunity to publish an Open Letter from UK Independence Party members of North Yorkshire County Council:
County Councillor David SIMISTER, of the Harrogate Bilton & Nidd Gorge division, where he is the UK Independence Party Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for the Harrogate & Knaresborough constituency. David has also served as a Harrogate Borough Council, in the Harlow Moor division.
County Councillor Sam CROSS, of the Filey division. County Councillor Sam CROSS also serves as an elected member of Scarborough Borough Council, also in the Filey division.
An Open Letter
UKIP’s North Yorkshire County Councillors Sam Cross and David Simister support any organisation and group who oppose corruption in politics and local government, and the abuse of power by politicians and senior council officers.
County Councillor Cross said:
“Both myself and County Councillor Simister welcome any group that exposes corruption in public office, be it at parish council level or within the corridors of Westminster.
Sadly there are those who are only in this walk of life for one thing – to line their own pockets and the pockets of their cronies.
These people who bring shame on everyone in politics need to be brought before the courts and punished for their actions.”
The North Yorks Enquirer thanks County Councillors CROSS and SIMISTER for this unequivocal statement of support.
